Sometimes I wish I had a stable of multiple personalities to deal with life’s trials. Gigi would take care of the house, Beverly would nanny the kids and Ghostface Killah would deal with my extended family.
But in reality it’s just me and my husband, who does a fantastic Ghostface Killah impression, trying to raise three small girls. I’m a low maintenance chick — have Converse low tops, will travel.
I consider myself a blogging observational humorist as I don’t write about one topic in particular. I’ve always noticed the details in life and find them really compelling; my blog is a testament to that. And because there are details everywhere you go, I constantly have posts writing themselves in my head.
Long ago in the age of dinosaurs and electric typewriters, I earned a Journalism degree from Michigan State University. After working as a reporter and a graphic designer, I spent 10 years in the marketing department of a national mortgage company. These days I work as a freelance writer.

This is your captain speaking. We’re approaching the Cardiogirl Empire where the temperature is a balmy 75 degrees Fahrenheit and the sun is shining brightly.
We’ll start our descent shortly. Feel free to keep your trays down and your seats reclined.
As always, thank you for choosing the Cardiogirl Empire.
If this is your first visit to the Empire, you may be interested in viewing the Best of Cardiogirl. It’s funny and engaging, if I do say so myself, and it will give you a taste of what I’m all about.
Enjoy and thanks for stopping by.
